Application Tips

Whenever you send out an application, remember: You are advertising for yourself. To create an image of your personality and for that you only have this first opportunity.

So take your time and put together your application papers carefully. Look at you from the perspective of the company. Have you really thought of everything when putting together your package?

Form:

The maximum size of your application should not exceed 2MB. Please send us your documents in one file and only as a PDF. Please understand that no other file types can be considered.

There are plenty of free programs on the Internet such as FreePDF or PDFCreator and many more. Even the free Open Office software has the ability to create PDFs.

Content:

Cover letter: You should explain briefly and precisely, why you are the right person for us. Summarize and give examples, what skills you used and what soft skills you have earned. What are you most proud of in this context?

You're doing advertising for yourself. Therefore we are interested mainly to see the added value we gain from a setting in your person.

CV: The best way is to prepare well structured and visually separated paragraphs. Firstly put together the content together and then do the design.

Usually this is the curriculum vitae with the data on the left and the description on the right side. The reverse chronological resume is advantageous because it usually provides "first things first."

Photo: The Anglo-American form of application, ie an application without a photo, has not yet enforced in this country.

The effort and investment into a good application photograph be worthwhile in any case. It increases the job opportunities if it fits to the rest of the application and indicates the right message.

Certficates: The list of  certificates and references must not necessarily be complete. Very old documents - more than ten years to twenty years - can be omitted if they are not required to document the professional career.

Important are your last certificates and all that are necessary and useful for the job. Put the evidence in the same order into the folder/E-Mail as you have structured your resume.
