Strong customer base is growing continuously worldwide  

 

Bochum, 19 January 2010 - Despite the financial and economic crisis Jörg Holstein looks back on the most successful year for his company VISUS in its now nearly ten-year history: "Overall we were able to gain about 150 new customers worldwide for our image management solutions. This has brought us a sales and growth result of 35 percent in economically uncertain times. Germany still remains the main market for us, but the international activities take up a more important role." Here, the Bochum IT service provider could win more than 30 new customers as well as further distribution and OEM partners in Europe.  

 

For Peter Rosiepen, responsible for international sales and business development, a significant contribution to the success was given by a strategic decision: "Due to the separation of German and international sales a focusing has taken place from which also users benefit in the end. Guido Bötticher focuses on German projects, customers and partners and I concentrate myself on the international business with distribution and OEM partners." Thereto VISUS has massively extended the technical departments.  

 

The product development was totally dedicated to the comprehensive image management and the network-wide integration of image giving systems into the JiveX Enterprise PACS: "Now we are able to archive ECG measurements directly into the PACS and to make findings at it. Moreover, planning data from the radiation therapy can be archived on the basis of DICOM RT standards and be displayed hospital wide", says Guido Bötticher, Sales Director Germany. In addition, after a successful pilot phase, VISUS provides archiving in the data center (JiveX SSP Storage Service for PACS) increasingly as standard solution.  

 

Amongst other important new customers in Germany there is the Catholic Hospital Association Weser-Egge with four acute care hospitals, the Clinical Center Garmisch-Partenkirchen as well as two big mammography screening units. Internationally VISUS realizes the complete image management in the Apollo Bramwell Hospital on Mauritius, integrates more than 100 modalities of all departments into its PACS at the Dutch Elkerliek Ziekenhuis and provides the AEK Hospital Budapest and the International Hospital in Bahrain with the JiveX Enterprise PACS.
