VISUS is implementing the largest tele-radiology network in Germany

 

VISUS is equipping the largest nationwide tele-radiology network completely with a new tele-radiology solution. With this, VISUS is demonstrating once again its high level of competency in producing complex image management solutions.

 

The tele-radiology network of Diagnostic Network AG, which since the year 2000 has grown to about 100 sites, has been changed over by VISUS to the JiveX system in an unparalleled operation and is thus unique in Germany. "We are very pleased that we decided to work with the company VISUS following an extensive selection process. Together with our new partner we have made it possible to introduce the entire tele-radiology system and PACS in more than 50 hospitals and over 40 evaluating centres within 14 days without interrupting operations", according to Dr. Torsten Möller from the Managing Board of Diagnostic Network AG.

 

With our extensive network based on the new product JiveX ASP, we have certainly set new standards. The core system is formed by our highly available tele-archiving solution at the data processing centre at Diagnostic Network AG in Dillingen. All processes are centrally controlled from here and managed by us with 24-hour support 365 days a year. The logistics for the automatic despatch of images and medical findings is optimized by the integrated duty roster module. In the meantime, the system has been working routinely for over 3 months and has already proven to be very reliable.

 

Reif & Möller Diagnostic Network AG provides services in the diagnostic-medical sector. It provides access for hospitals to modern diagnostic procedures via tele-radiology, for example, in particular to computer tomography and magnetic resonance imaging. Full service is part of the package with provision of equipment, consultancy for possible remodelling requirements, training of medical-technical radiology assistants (MTRA’s), installation of the tele-radiology unit and the medical evaluation of the images, which also includes an around-the-clock service. Apart from this core area, the AG also offers a purely diagnostic service with use of the available equipment ("second opinion", cover for emergencies and public holidays), as well as specialist and logistic advice.
