VISUS Establishes Joint Venture in the US

Together with Net.Orange the company in Irving, Texas, has established Visus USA, LLC. The Jivex solutions have already received FDA approval and are prepared for routine operations. "By taking this step we aim to penetrate the large and important North American market for Jivex. We will be marketing the same solutions as in Europe and are also endeavoring to achieve similar installation figures. In this area we can point to over 300 projects at present. By 2010 we would like to be among the Top 10 PACS suppliers in America", says Peter Rosiepen, Director Sales Visus.

 

Tom Borger, Director Sales Visus USA, is also convinced that the target is realistic: "In North America there is a multitude of imaging centers and teleradiology networks. The requirements for an image management system, and for a PACS supplier, are particularly the handling of large quantities of data, safe and fast transmission of image reports, and relevant experience in project management. This is where Visus has the matching solution, the Jivex product family, and also the experience gained with major European teleradiology projects". The Bochum company is equipping Diagnostic Network AG, the largest teleradiology service provider in Germany.

 

Radiology Associates in Lethbridge,  Alberta, Canada, are the first clients to have been won for Visus USA. "The solution impressed us to such an extent that we took our decision in favor of Jivex at RSNA in Chicago. We ordered a complete PACS based on Apple hardware and at the initial stage we are integrating 14 radiological modalities into the system", says Darel M. Steed, Clinic Manager at Radiology Associates Inc.
