2000 - Incorporation of VISUS Health IT GmbH
VISUS was founded in 2000 by Jörg Holstein and Klaus Kleber as a "spin-off" of Witten Herdecke University.

2011 - Foundation of West German teleradiology network
VISUS developed the technical platform for the TRN to exchange radiology image data via a secure medical network.

2015 - Incorporation of VISUS IT Solutions, Switzerland
In order to meet the increasing demand for VISUS software solutions in Switzerland, VISUS founded VISUS IT Solutions AG, an independent company. Since then, an experienced team in Zurich has been providing technical support and product advice.

2017 - New company headquarters on the Bochum Healthcare Campus
With the move into the new building, VISUS has opened the doors to a new quality of work, arising from the building concept with its state-of-the-art technical infrastructure and the fact that plenty of space has been set aside for creative breaks and informal exchanges.

2021 - Acquisition by CompuGroup Medical
As of June 1, 2021, VISUS is part of CompuGroup Medical.

2000 - JiveX Enterprise PACS
Market launch of JiveX Enterprise PACS in Germany.

2005 - JiveX Mammography
The JiveX functions can be customized to the workflow, reporting habits and requirements of breast centers and screening units, with JiveX Mammography allowing precise and structured image management.

2009 - JiveX ECG
JiveX ECG now makes it possible to replace the common hardcopy recordings and findings of cardiac activity by digital PACS copy and to view them anywhere in the hospital on a monitor.

2013 - JiveX Mobile
Medical information made available anywhere: JiveX Mobile and JiveX Web are based on HTML5, a technology allowing the application to be accessed from any browser - be it via desktop PC, laptop or mobile device.

2014 - JiveX Healthcare Content Management
JiveX HCM offers all modules for holistic integration, processing, archiving, and distribution of medical data within one system.

2003 - PACS II NL
Even in the early days of the company, there was close cooperation in development with the technical pioneer in these fields, the Netherlands. At Maxima Medisch Hospital in Eindhoven, VISUS linked up the first interfaces to imaging modalities outside JiveX PACS radiology.

2018 - HCM for Dummies
We authored our first book on healthcare content management. The popular German "...for Dummies" series excels by presenting complex topics in simple and entertaining fashion. It is therefore the perfect introduction to the topic of HCM and provides valuable tips and tricks.

2020 - TWIIN Project NL
The radiological image data of Dutch citizens is no longer moved around the country on DVD or other storage media, but can be transmitted via a central digital infrastructure. The project that will connect the 75 Dutch hospitals in the future is called DVDexit. Working together with our Dutch partner Alphatron, VISUS has been involved in the development of the technological platform.

2021 - Improve axSpA
We are developing and operate the technical platform for a telemedicine communications network in rheumatology. This network (axSpAnet) aims to improve the diagnosis of axial spondylarthritis nationwide in Germany. Doctors can use the platform to collect pertinent medical information (examination results, radiological image data, questionnaires) in a standardized manner and transmit it to medical experts tied into axSpAnet. Based on this information, these experts then provide a second opinion regarding the diagnosis and also transmit this directly back to the party inquiring via the platform.
