A dozen quality seals
At the IHE-Europe Connectathon 2026, we received twelve seals – more than ever before.
Every year, the IHE (Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise) initiative awards its seals. These quality seals are an internationally recognized measure of quality and serve as proof to hospitals, medical practices, and other healthcare facilities that a software solution can communicate seamlessly with other systems and exchange data. Our team received a grand total of twelve of these quality seals at this year's IHE-Europe Connectathon in Brussels – more than ever before.
Save on image data transfer with XDS-I
For the first time, we received a quality seal this year for our facility-wide exchange of image and diagnostic data using XDS-I. This extension of the XDS standard was developed specifically for the transfer of radiological image data and significantly reduces storage space and data volume, as users only retrieve the actual image data as selected from an Image Document Source (IDS). Additional benefits include independence from the proprietary interfaces employed by individual manufacturers, easier collaboration across locations and facilities, a reduction in duplicate examinations, as well as faster availability of findings,
In addition, our ISiK (technical information systems in hospitals) implementation passed the test as a Document Responder for the gematik (National Agency for Digital Medicine) MHD profile and has thus been proven to support data exchange from the hospital through to the ePA (electronic patient data record). Also worth noting: The just published AIRA profile has already been tested in Brussels by three manufacturers – an important milestone in terms of market acceptance of this profile, which enables the integration of quality assurance for AI analyses into the image interpretation workflow in accordance with the EU AI Act.
