Five seals for us at the IHE Connectathon 2024
At the recent IHE Connectathon Europe, our systems successfully passed all connectivity tests, earning us five of the new IHE quality seals.
From June 3rd to 7th, the TCC Trieste Convention Center turned into a hub for medical software testing. Leading health IT and interoperability specialists from across Europe and the USA gathered on the Italian coast of the Adriatic Sea to test the interoperability of their application systems at this year’s Integrating the Healthcare Enterprise (IHE) Connectathon.
15 Tests – All Cleared
As a founding member of IHE Germany, we were once again represented by a delegation. We put our JiveX Healthcare Content Management (HCM) and JiveX Enterprise PACS to the test, evaluating their connectivity with various solutions and technologies, focusing particularly on XDS. This is key for our ongoing project with Luxembourg's patient record system, where we are currently developing an interface, which uses this protocol to enable file storage via drag-and-drop to the file manager window. Additional tests included ATNA and CT profiles, with all 15 tests successfully completed.
AI Models Also Tested
We were awarded five prestigious IHE Connectathon Seales, which were introduced this year to demonstrate providers' interoperability capabilities at a glance. Valid for three years, these seals serve as an additional indicator of quality assurance for users.
Our experience at the IHE Connectathon was overwhelmingly positive. Participating in numerous lectures, symposiums, and discussions, we had the chance to gain valuable insights and share our expertise. Dr. Marc Kämmerer, head of our Innovation Management division, led a Plugathon of the AI Interest Group for Imaging (AIGI) he founded, focusing on creating new integration profiles for AI models. More updates and details on this group's findings will be shared soon. The next IHE Connectathon Europe is scheduled for June 23-27, 2025, in Vienna.
