HCM in the University Medical Center Hamburg Eppendorf

  • Universitätsklinikum Hamburg-Eppendorf

The Hamburg UKE will in future work with our JiveX Healthcare Content Management (HCM) system to ensure that all medical data are consolidated and can be distributed. As part of the new clinical workstation system (CWS), the HCM supplements the functionalities of CGM Clinical Suite as the leading system.

The perfect partner for a challenging project

In matters of digitalization, the UKE has always been several steps ahead of other hospitals in both Germany and Europe. In 2008 the University Medical Center introduced electronic medical records, laying the foundation for reaching EMRAM stage 7—the first hospital to do so in Europe.

There are correspondingly high expectations and requirements for a new CWS that not only manages electronic records but also expands them to target groups outside the hospital such as patients, referring physicians, partners, and payers.

The prerequisite for this is that there is a consistent flow of information and an assurance that all data are present in one and the same system from where they can be distributed. This in turn assumes that all subsystems can be connected via industry standards to the CWS to enable automated data flow at all.

HCM as data home and repository

As experts in data consolidation based on interoperable standard formats, our JiveX HCM will in future ensure that medical data in the UKE subsystems will converge centrally in one system where they will be made available for CGM Clinical Suite. One of the foundations of this is the professional migration of old data that will be managed in future using the JiveX HCM.
