A very special moment in my relationship with VISUS was, of course, when VISUS joined CGM in 2021. During my time as IT manager at the Evangelische Stiftung Augusta in Bochum, the then senior physician in radiology, Dr. Detlef Longwitz, approached me and showed me a flyer from a young Bochum-based company. This is how we got to know VISUS, and the chemistry was right from the very beginning. Our digitization project gained further momentum when Prof. Matthias Bollow from the Charité joined Augusta as the new chief physician, and after just under two years, we had become a completely film-free hospital. During this time, a very deep, and in many ways friendly, relationship developed. Since then, I have also been able to develop numerous excellent and large-scale projects with VISUS elsewhere.
